Sunday Services
Our Sunday morning worship service starts at 10.30am, but we serve tea and toast from 10am!
We understand that it can be quite daunting to come to church for the first time, but you will receive a warm welcome and find that we are friendly bunch of people. Our service is informal and God-centred.
We meet in West Hucknall Baptist Church, Ruffs Drive, NG15 6JN - opposite the phone mast and green! You will see a flag and white fence, and there is plenty of parking on site.
What to expect
-
Informality
Our services are quite informal. Please sit where you want and wear whatever makes you feel comfortable!
We have people of all ages that come to our church from new born through to 90+ so please feel invited and welcomed
We aim to be a welcoming place where everyone feels comfortable. We are so pleased you have come.
In the unlikely event someone doesn’t talk to you, they may be having a difficult day, or may also be new. Don’t be afraid to make the first move!

Sung Worship
We love to sing at West Hucknall Baptist Church, and we usually have a good mix of contemporary worship songs and traditional hymns.

Preaching
We love to hear Gods word preached. The sermons normally last between 20-30 mins. Teaching tends to focus on a Bible passage and how it applies to our own lives today.

Communion
On the first Sunday of the month, we share communion together - this is bread and wine that we use to remember the death and resurrection of Jesus for us all. Please do not feel you have to join in with this, but please no you are very welcome.

Offering
During the service, members of the church will have the opportunity to give money as part of their worship (although many do this through direct debit). If you are new, please do not feel obliged to give- this is for people who call West Hucknall Baptist Church their home church.

What's on for Children & Teenagers
Children and teenagers are an important part of our church family.
The children (up to year 6) participate in the first part of the service and then go to their ‘junior church’
Teenagers (Key stage 3 and above) and young people tend to stay in the service which is made accessible for all ages. If they would like to creatively take sermon notes or express their worship through art, this is available.
You can find more details about these ministries in Kids and Youth.
