Baptism doesn’t make someone a Christian, but it’s a powerful symbol of what God has already done in their heart. It represents dying to an old way of life and being raised into new life with Christ—washed clean, made new, and ready to walk with Him.

We baptise by full immersion, just as Jesus was, because it reflects the depth of surrender and the fullness of life we’re stepping into.

These smaller groups are a great place to grow in faith, ask questions and share the love of Jesus. Currently there are groups running fortnightly on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

What We Believe

 At West Hucknall Baptist Church, we’re a growing community built on faith, hope, and love. We believe in one living God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—who created us, knows us, and invites each of us into a life-changing relationship through Jesus Christ.

We trust the Bible as God’s living Word—our guide, our encouragement, and our foundation. At the heart of it all is the Gospel: the good news that through Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection, we are forgiven, made new, and called to live with purpose.

As Baptists, we believe faith is personal and powerful. When someone chooses to follow Jesus, we celebrate with believer’s baptism as a public step of that journey. But we don’t walk alone—we grow together as a church family, supporting one another in faith, sharing hope, and living out God’s love in our community and beyond.
