Mission

"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
[Acts 1:8]

At West Hucknall Baptist Church we believe in the very essence of the word 'go' that Jesus gives us in the Great Commission:

“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation." [Mark 16:15]

The very DNA of the early Church was 'to go'. They weren't insular or inward looking, but had their hearts set on going. This was their mission, and the instruction from God hasn't changed since. 

This is therefore what we strive to be at WHBC. We want to be a Church that can make a difference. For this reason we are involved in numerous mission based projects:

  • In our locality - Our 'Jerusalem' is the estate we are on in West Hucknall, and in the town as a whole.
  • Nationally - Our 'Judea and Samaria'.
  • Internationally - 'To the ends of the earth'.
